Hi.. I've been running a 3" cobra track day - decat system for many years with no issues but feel its time to get a sports cat due to living in the ULEZ catchment.

Two that keep popping up are the Cobra sport 200 cell and the Japspeed 200 cell, both 3". The cobra is nearly double the price, with no reviews I cant see why.. Visually it looks like a bigger cat and may help with flow?

Can anyone recommend or throw some words of wisdom on this topic.. ( reviews of either product would be great)

Speak with some exhaust making company about sports cat welding on decat downpipe. 150 cell on 3" should pass mot without getting it hot.

Thanks for the replies.. I enquired about retro fitting a cat to the down pipe .. The quotes were more than the Cobra item., I guess removal, fabrication, materials and installation all add up.

I'm leaning towards the Cobra item.. But also weighing up a new turbo seeing that I will need a remap, and the downpipe will be out the way.. my IHI has been going well for 20 years.

 

Thought I would share my final route .. I got the Cobra sports cat, had it fitted and mapped at FB.. The Car drives really nice still .. no noticeable drop in power, a slight difference in the exhaust note but nothing horrid..
