Default 400bhp turbo

Looking for a turbo for around 400hp engine tuner suggested Garret gtx2867 or 71r but I’m struggling to find what I need. Any suggestions? Or alternatives

What’s your budget mate? Are you buying brand new or used?

Either used or new, I’m just trying to find something. I have the scooby clinic sc36 turbo on my wrx and was wanting something a bit bigger for my sti 5 RA. Just prices and what to get would be good, I’d love a decent second hand one but can’t find any available, the ones on here have already sold.

thanks

What’s your car currently making with the sc36? I’m led to believe they can get to 380 with supporting mods, there’s a good chance the turbo you have can be upgraded to make abit more....give Craig bellworthy a call at central turbos to see if the sc36 can be upgraded. It’s just an option mate which will be a lot cheaper than a new turbo 👍

Are you not worried about your gearbox?

Yes and no... my wrx was tuned in 2009 and I’ve used the launch control loads of times over the decade and it’s still perfectly fine now. If my new one goes bang I’ll just get another gear box. It’s just a car, I’m really not bothered. There’s thousands of parts available around the world.
