Default 1999 Turbo 2000 VF24

Hi all, I have been told i can replace my stock td04 with a vf24 and get a sti clasic ecu ( few pin outs need swapping ) and it will run fine in my car at around 280bhp. If this is the ase what ecu do i need to get?

Thanks in advance

Don't think you can, I'm sure there are a few other bits that are different but could be wrong. Mate you are better off just getting a remap. Also though it was the VF28 that came on the STI around that year but like I said I could be wrong, I'm sure someone in the know will be along.

Thanks for the reply, i heard some classic sti impreza had vf24 as standard with 440cc injectors. Mine being a 99 came with 440cc injectors. Was told with ecu and vf24 install and a few pin outs swapped it will run fine. I would go for remap but dont want to strain gearbox etc to much due a highish miles on the car

Any other opinions on if this will work?

A friend of mine has a ecu that i could have but not sure if it would work in my car. The front shows:

Sti SP 10010 56010 A18-000-DV8

Its a 3 plug

Would this work in my car?
