Can anyone help me. I have a 2001 wrx bugeye. I'm putting in a sti engine with avcs heads. All the loom for the heads is still with the avcs and I have the sti ecu. My question is do I need to change any pins on the wiring loom in the car for the ecu? Because the loom in the car is still a wrx one.

 

yes you need to add the AVCS pins from the engine loom to the ECU - JT innovations do a kit for it:

just select the 2001-on version and it should pin right in.

 

I have the conversion kit brand new, I didn't use it as I changed direction yours for £130

 

My avcs was just wired up by Andrew Carr when he mapped my car charged me £50 to do it. Use the sti engine loom and ecu and it's just 4 wires From connector block to ecu
