Question Non Turbo ECU swap, but now shuts off after 10 secs ?

I had a fault with my non turbo ECU, so bought one used, ('97 Impreza auto) it's been fitted in and the car fires up but it shuts off after 10 secs each time, anyone else had similar?

Hi bud the 1997-1998 ecu's have an immobiliser built in, there coded to your keys. So when you fit a new ecu you either need the chip out of the keys the car came with or if you take it to a subaru dealers they can code the ecu to your keys.

No probs, if you do take it to a subaru dealers ring around and prices vary a lot. One quoted me around £200 lol it should be £35.
