Default Simtek ECU

Hi, Would I likely see much improvement in power using this ecu in the link below over the standard ecu? Also I understand that the obd port becomes redundant, does this mean plugging a laptop into the ecu to read fault codes?

My car is running a little below 400bhp, blob sti type uk, 725cc injectors, walbro 255, 3" decat, gt spec headers, fmic, t36 turbo, 3 port boost solenoid.

depending on how the car is setup now the simtek being speed density *should* give you an advantage over a stock ECU due to the frontmount and the bigger turbo (unless the current ECU is tuned mafless that is).

Yes the OBD port no longer works as the car doesn't speak OBD anymore so any diagnostic/testing all has to be done via the simtek cable.
