2008 STI currently fitted with a VTA BOV (HKS SSQV) and car remapped.

Would refitting a stock Subaru Recirc valve require another ECU remap?

Apparently a few on here ay you cant map a blow off valve.

 

Wouldn't worry about it to be honest.

 

Thanks interesting, but I figured the remap would take into account the air that has passed the MAF but then not been retained when the throttle closes as it is vented to air. I figured putting the recirc valve back on would disrupt this as the air is retained and not vented when the throttle closes. Thus changing the air/fuel ratio.

Wouldnt worry about putting the recirc back on or not worry about remapping if I did?

 

Don't worry about getting the map changed for the dump valve swap. Mapper told me it made such a negligible difference it wasn't worth bothering about changing vta to recirc or other way round.
