Default lack of power

My cars been under diagnostics as it lost alot of power and spluttering like a missfire. The maf sensor has been changed as advised but still not running 100%, although the engine light aint on anymore. I was advised the lambda sensor might need changing to rectify this. Is this true? Any advise will be apreciated. Thanks

Have you checked for error codes? (Using plugs under steering column)
Has an ecu reset been done? Have you got a boost gauge to see what it's running?
How long have you had the car? Was it faulty when you bought it?
Could be loads of things causing you problems.
Have you cleaned boost solenoid? Checked all pipe work? Had a service including fuel filter? Is it still running original fuel pump? How many miles has the car done?

The cars done 79500 miles. Ive had the car since april this year. I had it serviced about 1k ago with no issues with it whatsoever. The car doesnt have a boost gauge as its standard. The only thing it has is k&n air filter and straight through japspeed 3" exhaust. The car has been very well looked after with lots of service reciepts from the previous owner.
