Default Where to get my car mapped?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and also new to the subaru World..
I bought a Wrx bugeye Wagon couple weeks ago and I'm now looking to get it remapped.
The car came with a big folder of receipts and apparently it had a engine rebuild 30k ago.
Rods, cams, pistons rings the lot.. I can't get hold of the garage who did all the work because apparently they went bust a few months after all this work was carried out.. But anyway here is my current set up:

PPG straight cut gearbox with exedy clutch
Hks mushroom filter
Hks blow off valve
Hks downpipe
Straight through exhaust with decat
Sti pink injectors (not installed yet)
Manual boast controller (not installed yet)
Walbro 255 fuel pump (not installed yet)
Big front mount intercooler
Upgraded hoses
Oil cooler

The engine is very healthy and sounds decent with no knocks or random annoying noises..
I got told by a mate to get it mapped with Duncan from Racedynamics and I probably will, just want to hear what you guys think and what power should I be getting out this after the remap?

P.s I did a dyno last week and it did 230bhp on 0.6bar, without pink injectors, pump, oil cooler being installed. Will get it all done a few days before the map.

Here a few pics of my beauty

Yeh I thought the same thing, one of those things I won't be able to find out really.. Oww ok, so should I get a Electronic one or a 3port solenoid? I already spent so much haha, decent electronic ones are well over £200!

Will have/should have been mapped with engine rebuild and all those mods.
0.6bar is below stock,as already said boost is controlled by the ECU and the mapper will up/control the boost for you.
I'd be wondering why the boost has been turned down or running in limp/safety at 0.6
If someone has just thrown a fmic on and other mods without mapping then this would explain it.
A 3 port bcs will help the mapper control the boost better, but a 2 port will be fine.

Mmm probably mate, it also has a manual boast controller in the car but not plugged in..

Maybe the previous owner messed about with not sure..
But it's definitely on 0.6bar and running 230bhp as it is

Best place for that boost controller is 100% in the bin!
Let us know how you get on when mapped.

Haha fair enough mate, so you would recommend a 3port solenoid? Also think my ecu is standard.. That be ok for the remap?

I would go for a 3 port,in fact I have one ready to fit,but I'm currently running a 2 port at 400+bhp.
Your standard ECU is mappable.

No you will not need an electronic or manual boost controller to get it mapped.
The cars own boost control solenoid and the ECU will control the boost.

Not really fella,an ecutek first map is quite pricey as you have to pay for the ecutek license if I remember correctly.SJ.

I got charged £430 by Duncan for a remap. Is that too much? Or would normally be more?

No avoid ebay and moronic clubs like sioc.
A 3 port boost controller from a classic will be fine, just give it to the mapper prior to mapping.

Has it been mapped before? If it's a first map it sounds like he has quoted you for a first map for the ecutek license as well,£430 is not too bad.SJ.

I paid 350 for my map but that was sometime ago by Duncan.
Had no issues and to my knowledge car is still going strong.
That was open source and not ecutek.
He fitted a 3 port boost solenoid prior to map too

Yeh don't think his prices have changed much then..
So where can I get a 3port not costing a eye?

Mate, according to the previous owner the car was remapped and he said it was running 280bhp but only did 230 on the dyno run last week, doesn't mean it hasn't been mapped before but I wouldn't take his word for it tbh..

It all depends on prices as they can vary quite alot, this is a Good one though as some models can be in the £100+regionhttp://www.jti.uk.com/product/three-...trol-solenoid/.SJ.
