what kind of problems are you having? You shouldn't have any bother flashing it onto the car, but you might get some grief from the rom if you don't set it up properly. Particularly the cold start stuph. Mine ran great all summer long and soon as I got to the -5 starts it was turrible so I had to flash a MAF rom to kick about in until the weather picked up.

Takes slightly longer to start from cold but no big deal and on the upside cranks up the oil pressure.

yup, i blame my issues on my own settings and the induction kit - probably would have gotten it sorted but never had time in the mornings as I was always trying to get somewhere!

Fancy sharing your rom and some logs? Be curious to see data for someone else in the UK running it!

there are plenty of folk running it with no cold start issues, I just never spent time tuning mine for it. Im sure if you had a professional job done the cold start would be fine.

No definitely no cold start problem as such. Plus the engine response is smoother and crisper and no maf to worry about.

All down too the mapper for cold starts, i was always worried about the idle and cold start on syvecs ecu, got mine fitted and mapped and was just as good as the original ecu

Are u going for the carberry ???

Ive been contemplating this myself as i want to go mafless and up the boost but decided to go with an alcatek and dual meth map. I figured i will be needing a better ecu for the new engine im having built anyway.

No, I'd just make sure the mapper acknowledges it and maps to suit. Some mappers forget the cold start tweek.
