Default A8DK100Y vs A8DH200Y ecu's

Hi all,

My Friend has just purchased a 56 plate hawkeye saloon WRX. It has had a few bits bolted on (exhaust etc.) but he was unsure if it had had a remap. I plugged my tactrix cable in to check if the map was stock and found it has a different ECU ID code to mine and any other Hawkeye I have plugged into.

Mine (and others I have read) is A8DH200Y
My mates is A8DK100Y.
Doing a comparison on the roms they are similar but a few differences. the A8DK100Y seems to have a few more tables.

Is this just a revised ecu over the A8DH200Y?

thanks,

Different model years - A8DK100Y is later

Registration does not give you the exact model year (MY) you have, the tenth character in the VIN does

Actual part numbers are

MY06 - 22611AL310 or 22611AL311
MY07 - 22611AM470

Thats only because the definition files you have are slightly different, in practice they are very similar as has been mentioned.

Cheers for replies chaps.
On closer inspection some of the tables have slightly different names but the same content in them. It looks as though the current map is totally stock.

Exhaust tip has rather a lot of soot on it.. I think this could be caused by the giant 6" tail pipe and the paper element air filter that is filthy and not been changed in a while. running a bit rich me thinks.

thanks again.

oh and it has a Forge vent to atmosphere dump valve. (how 90's lol) would that affect it rich running in any way? and if so would it ideally need a map to accommodate it?
He has already expressed an interest in putting the dump valve back to stock so might not be needed.
