Question 3 plug to 4 plug ecu conversion

does anybody know if anyone has ever completed a successful 3 to 4 plug ecu conversion?

i have a 1s 3plug ecu but i also have a chipped z4 kicking around with connectors and pig tails.

looking in to doing the conversion, just sorting out an ecu pinout diagram for my stock ecu at the moment

I've got a chipped z4 with connectors / pig tails and I've been looking at converting mine to 4 plug. Just working out the last couple of pins / connections.
But the more I look at it the more I think about getting an esl as it offers everything I'm looking for.

Is the Chipped z4 Going to match the mods you have on your car? If its not a perfect match, which i doubt it is then the z4 will need to be mapped/chipped again. Chances are the z4 will expect different values from the sensors such as maf, lambda throttle position etc so will not run as it should anyway. Esl is the way forward.

i can get the mapping done for free (got a mate who owes me some favours) ive sorted out the conversion diagram minus a couple of issues but for what an esl will cost supplied, fitted, mapped and running mafless im just going to save the potential hassle and go esl

If your getting mapping done free, might well be worth carrying on..
