Remap to remove OBD light?

Remap to remove OBD light?
The OBD light came on recently on my Hawkeye Spec D due to a problem with the secondary air pump. The air pump has now been removed and blanked off but of course the OBD light is still on.
Is having a remap the only way to delete the code and therefore the light?
