Default alcatek & lambda sensors

I currently have a faulty lambda sensor, but am going alcatek very shortly, am I right in thinking this will do away with the sensors or is this just a myth ive picked up????

You will still need a lambda sensor. It's the MAF sensor you will no longer need.

Better is to go for a wideband, but the AlcaTek does not natively support this, so you have to use an external controller such as an Innovate LC-1.

Yes you can do away with the Lambda sensor on an Alcatek ecu, however it will be at the expense of the closed loop narrow band system used to keep the mixture in check at idle and on a light cruise.
Best bet is either fit a new one or as Tim mentioned fit a proper wideband and have that setup when it's mapped.
