I can't imagine why it would be different. The power is limited by the engine hardware and the map is written around the same engine hardware. ESL's own wagon is something like 550bhp.

Hi there

Everything depends on mapper and if you will be using same mapper then you should have same or similar figure

As every ECU have different resolution for fuel maps/boost maps and differ in few things,I've seen few results when tested head to head,on same car on same dyno and same mapper, usually with better ECU you can achieve better results

But hands down there, for money ESL is hard to beat and features which has have already ESL is great buy for any Subaru GC/GF owner, this ECU is worth the money

Thanks,Jura

Jura can a mapper tell from his laptop figures if a car has a boost leak, exhaust leak or even an air leak on the Turbo intake hose that would draw in unmetered air?

Where are you based s700bye ?
You could always have a run out in an esl equipped car.

Hi Matt

I would say yes and no is possible to see if car does have air leak or sucking un-metered air, usually if you have air leak this should show on the wideband as mappers have wideband, usually with air leak or you have exhaust leak you will see car is running leaner than usually,I would rather run bit richer than leaner, but still you need to be sure you don't have any issue on mapping day

I remember when we are been unable to make above 500bhp on the 2.35L with GT35,everything has been fine on the first sight and we are tried everything and still we are been unable to make above 500bhp,after Neil check'd the up pipe there he found the restriction

Sometimes mapper doesn't see any issue on the mapping day,but afterwards

Thanks,Jura
