There are a couple on fleabay for sale. One is used for 200 and one is new and up to £99 on auction. They are however both the old version. Your best bet is to go for a new one from esl performance, they are a bit more expensive at 350 plus 25 for fitting service(if needed) but it will be the latest better version and for an extra 120ish will come with the Motorsport package. I am saving up for one but will probably take me a few months
You never know tho mate you might get a cheaper one on here if someone is looking to sell but I would post in the wanted section cos you'll get a better response

It is expensive mate. To say the esl board is only 350 that means they are charging 450 for fit and map which is what pi$$es me off! That's why I'm looking into doing my own mapping. When you buy the esl it will come with a base map already preloaded. It will then cost an extra 75 for the lead and software to start mapping/tweaking your own. I know you said you wouldn't do you own mapping so it's a tough call mate? That why the pro mappers can charge so much money

Sound stuped by my kid who is 16 is a computer genesis . I no maping would be now to her . But she is a grade A in school . She she me how to jailbreack a iPhone 4/4s . & so on . So I am sure after doing her home work she could work it out & work out what I want & how to get it. You may be right mate .
Self mapping is the way forward .
& if we did it right and set it up right . There may be helpers out there that could or can help us out in doing it . What do you think . Or will the pro mappers on her to make cash will try and put us wrong .

Why not try:

http://www.racedynamix.co.uk/remap/s...tions-limited/

http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/subaru.htm

http://www.scoobyspares.com/ecutek.html

All are well known tuners and their prices are fair considering you get the esl supplied, fitted and mapped.

Regards,

Subaru Collector 555.

There are some good guys on here who would help you out and give good advise. There is quite a lot of info about nowadays on the internet about mapping but it definatly pays to do a lot of reading/studying before you attempt to do any changes to your map. My view is slowly slowly catchy monkey if you know what I mean lol I'm in no rush to map my own until I'm ready and even then I will only make very small changes at a time, eventually it should all fall into place and you will have the car just how you want it

Jolly green monster is more like it price wise,@£525 fitted and mapped plus they have a very good reputation. It's good to see prices as low as this tbh

I maybe selling my ECU with ESL 2.0 installed in the coming few weeks. Also have been self tuning. ESL is a great package, and easy way to learn some tuning skills.

Cool, how did you get on with the DIY mapping, did you get the car running how you wanted it to?
Is yours the v1/2 or v3/4 which is up for sale?

I have it on a V2. I had a great time tuning, Was a continuous learning process but loved it.
Very rewarding and enjoyable. But something you want to take rather slowly to avoid cooking a engine! I got my car how i wanted it, But was always constantly trying something different. (Im a huge fan on tinkering).
I bought a wideband sensor, ESL and started reading. I now have Knock detection gear too, Luckily ESL has the stock knock control so if you are going slowly with your tuning the ECU should protect the engine within reason. (some people will prob bite my head off for saying that).
Im a huge supporter or ESL, very simple and easy to use software too.
