So here is the deal. I'm trying to setup a poker run for the last sat in June this yr. I'm hoping to raise money for cancer research and lodge maintenance fees.This is an effort to try to do something that will benefit the community and fun at the same time.


I need 5 to 6 locations...


Currently I have 2 businesses in Mildenhall ready to participate, but only one is automotive related. I'm looking for a rolling road in one of the following cities Thetford / Bury St Edmunds / Cambridge / Newmarket


I do know of a rolling road in Norwich but hoping for something closer.
So if you know of business that might be interested, please post up and help us create fun event here. If this goes well I would like to make this an annual thing.


I helped organize a few in Virginia and we were able to raise $6,000 in a day to help fund a local children's hospital with about 130 cars showing up. I really believe this could be successful here.




If you don't know what a Poker run is here is a quick run down.


Arrive at 1st - pay your entry fee and draw your first card (look around at location and hang out a bit)


2nd location - draw second card -and hang out for a few


3rd - 3rd card and so on...


4th... 4th card


5th... your completed poker hand


6th - Rally point usually a place to eat with a big parking lot and everyone hangs out awaiting all participants to arrive. Once all are there you find out who had the best poker hand and they win a cash prize.


We would also like to have raffles for other gifts from event sponsors.
Each location will be an event sponsor this will bring potential customers to their location and offer them a chance to raffle off prizes as well.

Have you spoken to sumo power, they are in little port, just outside Ely. They all seem like good lads, so it's got to be worth a shot.
