My car has got 2 separate switches, one for anti-lag and one for launch control,my car is running 380bhp off motec ecus and the anti-lag is only of any use when boost is at the top setting and it makes the car drive as if it is choked up if not used only when on full boost, the anti lag switch is supposed to allow u to make a near perfect standing start by automatically controlling rev's in 1st gear(no matter whether u have your foot to the floor or not) and then when u dip the clutch to change to 2nd gear it turns itself off...I tried this repeatedly and was convinced it didn't do anything so i rung motec and they confirmed on my car it was disconnected pressumably as its 4wd and scoobys tend to get near perfect launches anyway,i also questioned them about the anti-lag and they said really that facility only comes into its own on cars running big power outputs(380 obviously isn't classed as alot)and that is why my car feels choked up if i try to run it on lower boost settings
Hope this helps mate

i asked the question yesterday 'is anti-lag' worth getting. The answer i got from a few people was to stay away as it had caused a blow up on an engine. Can't give you the reasons i'm afraid but a few people had the same opinion
