Help please with gearbox compatability
Evening,
I have a v5/6 Sti box that I would like to put into a 1996 UK turbo as it's current box has blown 3rd. I have read through what I have and it would suggest I need a matching final drive diff which I was expecting but it mentioned bell housing bolts changed from 4 to 8 bolts... Will this fit onto the 1996 engine?
Many thanks

The bellhouse is a nuisance and people working from home tend to fit just one starter bolt, as the fixing style on the other is different. Professionally we couldn't do it. But believe me one bolt is enough..... Otherwise just fit as many bellhouse bolts as you can [ 4 usually ] It'll b OK.
