Default Possible centre diff problem

I guys I am getting "clunking" and "hopping" on the front end at low speeds on full lock, but only when the car is cold.
The front end itself is fine , cv joints etc so I'm guessing it's the centre diff? Checked all my gearbox oil and it's pretty damn clean.
It might help to say since changing my wheels from 17"x7 to 18"x8 the steering had gone very light and doesent seem half as sharp as it was.
Could that be down to alignment?

If anyone could offer any advice it would be very appreciated thank you
Joe
