Default Type r problem

Hi when my car is just say warm it's ok but after that there is a winey I think it's come from the gearbox but Sumone said it's the clutch bearing but if I move the diff settings it goes away so is it the box it's defo not the diff can someone help plz

You do leave it set fully back ordinarily I take it?

Yes all the way to the bottom think it's a bearing in the gearbox ?

If its a release bearing on the clutch it should go away if you dip the clutch dip whilst its idling and be noisey whilst in neutral with the clutch out . . If its dependant on diff position on the dccd it points towards diff im afriad

In green it wines very loud move it 3 up to orange and it goes away so it's not the box so does that mean the diff

Dont be tempted to drive round in the 'orange zone' as that will knacker front and rear diffs. . may just be a bearing in the rear diff casing but without hearing/seeing it your only going to get an internet guess

Vim plate ty752vb5ca but don't no wot the diff is guess it's the one the car was build with
