I have recently fitted a K&N induction kit to my MY97 Turbo. I had to increase the length of pipe between the rochester valve and the induction tube.

The original was about 5 -6 cms long and now its closer to 18cms.

What affect will this have if any???

Thumbs up

I wouldn't worry.

I've got an MY99 with K&N57i. Fitted ok, used original Rochester valve piping though.

Just seen a mates MY00, and his induction is standard, but the Rochester valve piping is missing - To no ill effect.
