I have just had a full decat on my MY01. At the moment the exhaust is very noisy and is droning at high speeds in the cabin.

If I re-fitted the standard resonator for now until the system cokes up a bit would it quieten it down a lot or not at all

I have just fitted a Magnex decat centre with resonator to a MY98 and I'm sure its quieter. It already had a SS back box prior to fitment.
Might be better selling your straight decat centre and replacing with a Magnex decat with resonator if they do them for WRX's.
