Default possible DCCD problem?

ive just bought a 2000 version 6 subaru, my first subaru.

its got a pretty good spec for me to start,

its got the 6 speed DCCD gearbox and drivetrain out of the WR1 subaru (he says its super bomb proof), and the DCCD has been wired in (but not the way where you have to change the loom or something)
the problem that i have is everytime i turn the car on like a full lock it clunks alot, now i know that the mechanical LSD working, but when i twist the **** the other way it still knocks?
hes got a different controller **** comparing to the original one, he said he lost it whilst installing the gearbox, but the system that hes wired it up with isnt the best and its better of me getting a better controller or something.
from what i gathered when i twist the DCCD controller **** to the left it should drive normal, and when i twist the DCCD controller **** to the right it should be clunky, BUT its always clunky either way.
is their something wring with it?

my mate drove it today and he said thats very clunky and grippy and he thinkgs its got aftermarket LSD's in it?

heres the spec of the car anyway.

2000 wrx with prodrive pack
2.0 forged sti engine
vf29 turbo
6speed dccd gearbox with matching rear diff, shafts ect (dccd all setup ect)
brembo gold brakes front and back from the WR1 subaru
exedy 6puk clutch
lightweight flywheel
aftermarket ecu (cant remember what it was called)
mapped and tuned to 340bhp with 360lb tq
full turbo back blitz nur spec exhaust
HKS big front mount intercooler
HKS air filter
HKS dump valve
rare recaros sp-jj electric seats (1 of 50 ever made)
bilstein shocks with eibach springs
car has alot more to it, that just the main bits of the top of my head.

Basically on fully open you should get no resistance from a dccd equipped car, when locked it will feel like its bunny hopping.
I would see what ecu is running the dccd, normally the most favoured one is neetroniks.

you mention its a conversion?? so how is it being controlled??

std car would have a "traffic light" system in the clocks to show the locking which is normlly adjujsted by a thumbwheel.............new-age casr as std have an "auto" and "manual" mode whereas the classic only ever had a "manual"

Yeah he said he had the conversion done himself, and the system wasn't the best and he said if u want it to work properly then get a proper kit, so that's next
The gearbox is from a 2005 (I think) WR1 and is supposed to be the strongest box you can buy, is this correct. My aim is only 500-600bhp
So what kit would I need? I seen a kit called mapdccd what are they like?
