Default How much roughly for conversion

Mornin all

I'm pretty sure my gearbox is knackered. So looking around at various ideas for replacement.

One that I've been toting with is going six speed

I've got a uk 300 bugeye that's running around 340 horses with various mods. I don't really have any intentions ( yet) of taking it any higher So from reading on here the standard wrx box is capable of those figures ( I don't do launches or thrape 1st gear)

Basically what I need to know is how much roughly should I be expecting to pay for a wrx box and fitting

Also what kind of price for a six speed conversion and fitting

I ve found this on flea bay. Is what the seller is advertising everything that is needed for the conversion or is more needed

Cheers for any info

If u were to get it for that price it's a bargain. Am sure a full conversion parts wise would normally set u back just Over the 2k mark mate. As for fitting. I couldn't begin to comment

Look in the for sale section there are usually 6 speeds about from the breakers on here or private sells I'm in the Market for one as well but finding it hard to get one for reasonable money when I have abit of disposable cash around to use.

I have a JDM box for sale in the classifieds £1400 delivered, includes STI Ra R160 3.9 rear diff so you don't need to change rear hubs, prop or shafts. Also comes with the usual selector, gearnob, starter and flywheel and can supply an as new clutch for £100 on top if needed. If you change to R180 rear hubs you will also have to factor in Brembo rear brakes to your price.
