Can I just replace the MAP sensor for regular pressure sensor providing the output voltage has the same slope & offset?

I can't think of any reason why not, just seems odd that '3 Bar MAP sensor!!!' ads want loads of dosh for something I can by for £10 ish.

Just curious as I wouldn't mind upping the boost on a 94 car to about 1 bar (2 bar absolute) but then I am on the edge of the MPA sensor range.

Cheers

Paul

I beleive that the voltages of a 3-bar will be different to a 2-bar, as bot will have a limit of 5V (being the supply voltage), yet 5V on the 3-BAR will be 3-BAR and vica versa.

You could probably fit one tho' if you have a link/motec where u could tweek it for the expected ne voltages.

I figured I could correct the offset and slope of the output voltage with a simple amp circuit.
