Good afternoon guys

I had a nice run over to fontburn reservoir this afternoon and on the way back i noticed a horrible noise which sounds like it is coming from the gear box. It is happing in every gear and sounds like a grinding/crunching noise. In 3rd gear is just rev's out and the car does'nt move.

I managed to drive it back home(not sure if that was the best thing to do but i was in the middle of no where)

The car is a 57 Hawkeye 2.5 WRX with mods and Ecu Tek remap and was rolling roaded at motoscope with 349bhp and 395 torque.

So does it sound like i have killed my 5 speed box, i was giving it some beans on the way home to be fair.

I normally take my car to darlington to get it serviced but its a 2 hour round trip.

What would be the best way forward from here, i am based in northumberland with newcastle not being to far away.

please help !
