Default 1AA gearbox required 01 bugeye

Hi,

I had a problem with the gearbox in my 01 bugeye last year. I got another box from Grade-A and that went a day after the warranty so bought another box from them, and that's gone now too, luckily within the warranty period so I'm getting my money back.

I could do with a working gearbox from a breakers. Can anybody recommend somebody else as Grade-A apparently have no more.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

(Hope I posted this in the right place)

If its a Uk car and your code is TY754VN1AA then you can also use a TY754VN2AA or
TY754VN4AA the 4AA is the box fitted to the UK blob wrx.

Thanks to both of you.

Looks like my scooby will be back on the road end of the week. Thank god!

4 gearboxes in 6 months and it's been off the road for 5 of those months.

I must be jinxed with gearboxes from Grade-A and they are the most expensive supplier I found with the shortest warranty. Went with them due to their reputation. Though I do understand if it's not reconditioned, you never know the quality and / or lifespan of it!

Car Transplants in Natnwich had the cheapest box with a 6 month warranty but it was a 4AA. Mine's a bug eye not blob eye apparently it's a 1AA or 2AA only?

Anyway, got one now. Thanks lads!

It's sat on a pallet at mine mate all wrapped up with no where to go. As far as I knew it was supposed to be collected yesterday, and I've sent a message to Darren with no reply. So if I were you I'd ring him to see what is going on. As said it's been ready since Wednesday evening for collection yesterday, but not gone. I'm in work at the moment and get home at 5ish so will see if it's gone then. But pm me and will discuss.

I`ll send ANOTHER message to Darren.

Gutted!

I might organise a courier myself mate and then charge back the cost from the credit card payment to Darren. Is it in Swansea?

Hi Scooby Parts,

I'll see if I can get this one now it's been on order for a while, if I can't get it by monday/tuesday now I'll charge back the credit card and buy yours. Do you take card by chance?

Other option is to organise your own courier, and get the money back for postage.
Its on a pallet waiting to go, and I can give you collection details.

Tbh I`ll be glad when the sodding thing has gone!!
