MY94 uk turbo, 72,000 miles, running 1 bar boost.
Past couple of weeks, keep having to top the oil up, its using about 1 litre per 1000 miles, not really going above 6k rpm.
Can't see any leaking from anywhere, blows a bit of white smoke out of exhaust when revving on driveway but dont notice any when travelling.
Took intercooler off & washed out (drying it now with hairdryer) cause there was a bit of oil in there too.

Does it sound like my seals are gone/on there way out, im sure it shouldnt use this much oil.

Any recommendations, seal kit (can it be done??), recon turbo, new turbo, hybrid??
All suggestions & thoughts please.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

You could pull the inlet hose off and check for excessive play in the shaft...

Me thinks your turbo will be ok but it could possibly be the
valve seals or less likely piston rings...
