Question 6 speed Question

I have been talking to someone about a deal on my uk WRX box for his JDM 6 Speed.

He has given me the code from the Box, and my Transmission chart say's it is a DCCD box, yet he has said it is non DCCD.

6 speed JDM non-DCCD with a 160 rear diff.

TY856WB4KA

the transmission chart say's

JDM Impreza WRX STI MY04+ V-Limited MY04 TY856WB4KA DCCD A.P. Suretrack Automatic DCCD System

I assume the DCCD has just been removed?

Or is their another version of this with Non DCCD that is not on my list?

Thanks
Derek

It's definitely an My04 code and if it's a JDM box it must be a dccd box as I don't think they fitted the non-dccd box to their cars then, obviously uk cars still had them but it's a jap box.

DCCD will still work (albeit locked at the open split) but you need to be careful of the rear diff ratio and stub axles too.
