Do Subaru Impreza Turbos have recirculating dump valves fitted at manufacture, or is it an add-on. I was under the impression that all Turbos have a dump valve fitted.

Mine is emitting the 'milk bottle noise' which I believe means that it is leaking (MY97). I phoned up my local Subaru dealer for a price on a new one and he tells me that they don't sell them because they are an after market accessory? Is the true?

Looks like I may be buying a 3rd party dump valve, but I don't want it too loud and it must be fairly inexpensive (ie < £100). Any suggestions?

Yes, they come with a re-circulating type.

So why do Heritage tell me that they are fitted after manufacture and why do they not sell them? Not impressed with Heritage.

Although I maybe mistaken, it would appear they know jack-**** about Impreza Turbo's

Don't have my digi-cam with me otherwise I'd have taken a picture of it for you and you could point it out to them

You could always post under the Dealer and Third Party forum and ask if anyone knows the Subaru part code.

...or maybe someone here would know
