Question

It’s time for a new clutch and was looking for some advice:

1) If I have clutch judder, will new clutch fix this? Or do I need to get flywheel skimmed?
2) I know that I need to change the thrust bearing but what the hell is a spigot (Spelling?) bearing and does this need to be changed as well?
3) Can anybody recommend a good / cheap clutch kit that will take 270ish break?
4) Can anybody recommend a cheap and competent place to get it fixed in the London area.

Best offer I’ve had so far is £350 + VAT with Mike Rivett in Horsham. This includes clutch and bearing.

Cheers,

Rob

I have a P1 clutch, housing, release bearing and I think the spigot, this cost £450 +vat without the Release bearing which I understand cost £70 on it's own.

I replaced my gear box 1 month back which came with flywheel, clutch which can handle 500 ft pounds so I am selling this clutch for £250 no offers!!! it had been used for 500 miles but you will see there is no wear on it.

Let me know as I do need to post it on the for sale section.

OK is this EVERYTHING I need? What kind of power will a P1 clutch take? Do you know if this will fit a 97 UK Turbo?

What is the clutch that you have which can take 500lb/ft? How is your gearbox going to deal with this!!!!

Cheers,

Rob
