CV joints or Ctr diff?
A few weeks ago I posted about what I assumed (and mech. aggreed) was a dying wheel bearing however, having had all four changed (with a fat bill!) the noise is still there! Mainly left hand corners and a rough, rumble noise, seemingly from the O/S front. So, discounting wheel bearings, I can only think of either a CV joint or a problem in the front diff? Could the described noise be produced by the CV joint as it moves through it's range?
Advice/comments would be welcome.

I would have thought front CV joint would be felt as clicking in the steering wheel but i've not experienced one failing yet so i'm just guessing. do you feel anything in the steering wheel while you hear the noise?
if you hold one hand on the gearstick, can you feel anything there when its making the noise ?

There also appears to be no discolouration of the transmission oil.
