help impreza gear box needed 6g-ty752vb4aa

hi my gearbox has developed a whine when coasting in 1st and 2nd but goes as soon as you put power on and dosent go when clutch is dipped and doesnt afect drive.would it be cheaper to buy a gearbox with code 6g-ty752vb4aa or repair it?
has any1 got a good gearbox with same code??
any help would be great.

There's a few boxes goin at the mo if you hunt thru the general sales section.

A rebuild will cost you a fortune... circa £2000!

At that price you're better off buyin a 6-speed.

Doesnt sound like you should worry too much about the box you got. Mine developed more concerning problems and even then took a few months to seize up.

When it starts crunching everytime you go in to 4th thats when you can start to hunt for a replacement box. After that it wont engage into 2nd at full spank and eventually decides it wont go in to any gear at all, lol.

You should be able to get a replacement box for around £200
