Hi All!
Just back from hols and now need to get my ongoing problem rectified asap.Here's the crack:

I have a WR Sport backbox and have recently bought the centre decat section (2 piece) from Scoobysport.The problem seems to be the section immediately in front of the backbox sits against the floorpan of the car and obviously the exhaust noise is amplified through the car.I spoke to Pete at Scoobysport and he mentioned there were issues with the Scoobysport sections fitted to the WR Sport backbox and they'd had problems too.Well,I'm in Cheshire and Essex is a little too far from me so does anybody have a similar setup to me and that may have resolved this issue? (Assuming they had it anyway!) (I've already had the decat section changed once cos the first one rattled on the heatshields)

Yes tell Kaye what you paid for it and she will bang your head against it and that should cure the problem, but seriously i read somebody else had the same problem and sent the centre section back to Scoobysport and ordered the TSL equivelent.

Hi Nick

Before we sent that one out, we test fitted it. It was fine with a standard back box and with our backbox, but I didn't have a Prodrive to check it with. If you mark on it where its hitting, I will gladly get it adjusted to suit your backbox.

 

Dynomat the floor pan at least it will stop the constant noise. Cheap fix I know but it might work.

I have the full scoobysport decat, front,middle and a PPP backbox and no issues with my MY01, although I am having a louder scoobsport back box put on shortly.

I'm sure a friendly local mechanic or kwak fit would chuck it up on a ramp/pit for you to see if its obvious where the noise is coming from, just rev it up and take a listen from beneath.

I had the same set up fitted at Scoobysport (full decat connected to WRSport BB). Only the heat shield to the fuel tank needed adjusting, no problem with touching any part of the car.
