Has anyone reset there ecu on the new sti 7 and if so did it make any difference,is it safe to do with a tracker fitted.
I tried this on my old car ( my98 uk ) and it made a very slight difference, I understand the new sti 7 has a much quicker learning curve than the phase 1 version.
Is it worth doing.

Definatley worth doing, not a problem with the tracker! It made a noticable difference (or seemed to) on my one.

I wouldn't have thought it would make any difference on the MY01> unless there was a problem with something. Do you know if this was the case Mac? Why *did* you reset yours?

MATT, the ecu was reset just out of curiosity after 3000 miles. I am sure it made a difference, i also know that there was nothing wrong with the car before hand. Suppose it could be coincidence but the car felt smoother and idle was better.
