Spent two hours in the pleasant company of John Banks yesterday - when he kindly helped me install and set-up my new Dawes Device.

John also had the Delta Dash software which he kindly ran against my car prior, during and after the fitting of the Dawes. Some observations

1) Mr Banks knows a LOT about Scooby's

2) The Delta Dash product was very very slick. Worked first time and seeing realtime info on your car coming up on a laptop was superb. Product has been designed well and the user interface looks good. If I was going to modify my car anymore (when not if really!) then this product would be a must have. One nice side affect of running the Delta Dash on my car was that I found out that my boost gauge is spot on

3) The performance with the Dawes is excellent - my car (MY99) was running fine without fuel cut at around 17.4 psi. We then upped the boost to around 18 psi which then caused the fuel cut to hit, but it was good to feel what it was like. The boost is now set to 16.5 psi (peaking at 16.8) and the performance increase feels great

Thank you again John for giving up your Friday afternoon.

Cheers
Richard.

No problem - we have three log files if anyone is interested at 14, 16 and 17 PSI with fuelling, timing, knock correction, RPM, speed the works, but they are not drag runs, but real on road driving, with some part throttle, full throttle, part boost, full boost etc. They can also be viewed in Excel. They are a few minutes long each and I chose the quickest sample rate, so have not gone through them to show you graphs but was checking things on the fly.

We were running fine at just over 17 without fuel cut, but on a cold day or under thrash conditions it might, so I turned the Dawes back half a turn from the point where it only just didn't fuel cut. 2 turns seems to be about 1 PSI.

Just back in from a day out with the car (full of wife and inlaws ). It really has transformed it. Sally (my wife) said that it felt a LOT smoother than before - that the power felt like it was coming on without any 'jerking' - might have been my driving of course!

Boost was peaking at just under 17 PSI.

Really can't get over how smart that Delta Dash was - can't wait until they bring out the Delta in car (display unit) - that will be a definate purchase (anyone know how far off they are?).

Richard.

yhm too

It's also worth downloading the demo version of the Delta Dash from the Ecutek web site as you can view the logs in that - also gives you an idea of how good this software is
