Re: replacement box
I've got a ver6 STI ('99) and the gearbox seized up so need a replacement.
I'm aiming to go for a straight replacement TY754VBAAA, but wondered if I could use an RA limited box TY754VB1EA without having to change anything else on the car, ie. rear diff or wiring loom?
Reason I'd rather use the RA box is that its stronger, shorter ratio and has a helical front LSD... I'm running 360+bhp with relative torque so I know the std replacement box will also be on borrowed time.

Ignore this thread... did a bit of searching and found out the info (should of done that in the 1st place).
Its an entire drivetrain conversion... altho I like the look of that box its so tiny and cute compared to the great big heavy lump I got hangin under my car.
Mite go for that mod in the future, or just go straight to 6-speed or PPG
...unless any1 has a full set up per: STI5 Transmission I got cash waiting RIGHT NOW!!!
