Clutch/Gearbox problem??
Afternoon,
i put my 96 wrx to bed for the winter in November, after fitting a new fuel pump. Today i went out checked all the levels, started and let her warm up! I went to go for a little run but couldnt get any gear to engage. When i tried reverse there was sum grinding so i stopped there. So i turned off and, with the clutch depressed, went through the gears fine. I even tried starting in gear but she just went to jump forward. I dont have a clue what the problem could be, i know it cant be the clutch itself because i havent even done 10,000 miles on the new 1 i had fitted last year. Im pretty miffed as she's been sitting undercover for 4 months.
Any1 else had this type of problem?

mines sorted now think the clutch plate was stuck to flywheel i managed to roll my down drive with engine running then it just popped in like nothing was wrong there was a clunk as it freed off. but my plan was get on road start it in gear and try slipping the clutch to free it.

Hi yeh i've just got round to sorting it now, i did exactly the same as u. Started her in gear and after a couple feet the clutch broke free. My mechanic came round just after and said the same, it was the clutch plate sticking to the fly wheel and should be fine now.
