Default rear diff

hi there , I have a 1998 Subaru Forrester , since i took delivery of it last week , i have done a full service on it , and also changed the rear diff oil . I have put in Castrol LSX 90 , as it has a limited slip diff . My concern is that it feels like the L/S is binding or something , as at slow speed it seems to be scuffing the tyres.

Not sure what diff these have in the rear but certain plated diffs need a friction modifier to work. If its the same as similar vintage UK Impreza then it is probably a viscous type and doesn't need this. In which case it might be worth investigating the centre differential instead - these also tend to cause the problem you describe.
