Hello, I have a '02 WRX and i live in the states where our super is 92 octane. I'm thinking about trying an octane booster but first I would like to know if there are any disadvantages to doing this. Any words of wisdom? BTW - nice place you've got here.

For some strange reason, I believe the USA and ROTW octane ratings are different? One is "actual", the other is "measured" ??

Your 92RON is prob equivalent to something much higher.

Anyone know for sure?

 

I think the US fuel rating is RON+MON/2
