Could someone (PLEAZE !) give me a short course in how to read the LambdaLink output... it's bounching forth and back like in Nightriders K.I.T.T. (loaned that expression from a fellow club-mate in the Swedish Impreza Club)...
I was already certain that my oxygen sensor was broken, but then I was told the meter should look like from the car mentioned above! Actually it only shows "steady" figures (only one led lit) when flooring it, should it be like that? How can I know what the mixture is on steady highway driving when it's blinking like a christmas tree !?!?

Tnx for the reply Chan, it does indeed show only one green led at WOT, so that seems ok, but at cruise it's more or less rocking back and forth... or black. I had Unichip installed just a couple of months ago so the mixtures should be ok, it's just that I'm having second thoughts on the meaning with this kind of gauge, is it basically to be read only at WOT?

What's important is which one LED is lit up on WOT/high revs/boost.

It should be (depending on car and mods) somewhere towards the right pointing at something like 7-10% CO. Bear in mind that as the Lambda sensor heats up, it starts to read leaner.

The best thing to do is cruise along off boost for a few mins then boot it and see what the reading is before the sensor heats back up. That should give you a fairly accurate reading.

It's one of the two most far to the right, i.e. 7-9% CO.

Didn't know that... I'll try your suggested way of cruising off boost and then booting it to check the readings!

Unless you have heavy mods to the car or are mapping it I would go as far as to say that you don't need to be distracted by anything below 5% CO. I run 890 870 850mV now. (9+, 7, 5.5 CO) and I put the 10 bar LED back in my toolkit as it was just irritating. It lights up the top one at full boost over 3000 RPM.

John, so I take it you mean that as long as there's a green light on the LambdaLink (5, 7 or 9% CO) at WOT it should be "safe", and I shouldn't mind the "blinking LED show" at cruising speed or idle !?
