Default Has anyone fitted the Lateral Lightweight 6.7Kg flywheel in a 6speed STI?

Just looking to get a new clutch and flywheel for my 03 STI, its starting to slip in 4th, 5th and 6th really badly now. Not slipping in 1 to 3 yet but i suppose thats because it runs lower boost in those gears?

Here is a link to the flywheel

Anyone know how much it is also? Was going to go for a standard 240mm exedy clutch too.

Any advise welcome as im quite new to subarus.

It slips in the higher gears first due to the gearing....

Mine has an Exedy Hyper Single set-up, it's far easier to stall, but you soon get used to it.

Thanks Mate,

Ive ordered a 6.7KG flywheel and standard exedy clutch from Lateral today, should be a good setup for me as will only ever get to 330BHP ish in next 6 months.

Exedy organic clutch, and billet flywheel are nothing like the Exedy Hyper Single to use.

The Hyper single is pretty much a competition paddle clutch, and can be very grabby.

But a lighten'd flywheel is easier to stall, if you are used to a std. weight item...

My Kaiten 4.7kg bloody was when I got back in the car! LOL.
I laugh when my car is in a garage and someone tries to drive it. They get the idea after a few stalls!
Mind you I am a master of the "no rev" pull off now! Amazing how little revs can still move the car.
I must say though, personally I would not go less than 6kg next time, if there is ever a next time.
