Default rear diff info

hi there can anyone confirm that the classics and newage diffs are interchangeable? cheers Andy
my transmission code is ty754vn2aa so was wandering what diff i need? cheers Andy

You need a newage or classic R160 reardiff with 3.54 ratio.
STI diffs from newage cars wont fit, because of their bigger R180 diff and shafts as well as classic STI diffs because they have the wrong ratio!
Your box is out of a MY99/00 WRX and you need at least a MY99/00 WRX or newage WRX diff that uses the same shafts as your car.

The rear diff is an lsd, the open diff only came on the sports

nice one, the reason i asked was i had a look into my diff and couldnt see much in the way of a viscous type diff ,it must be really small.
