centre cat or not?

replacing stock exhaust with SS, not sure whether to leave standard centre cat or replace with straight through (swap back for MOT)


does anyone know the difference BHP/Torque/response?

Not sure about the exact power increases but it will make some difference. If you do decide to take it out you can either put in a straight through pipe or one with a small silencer in as it will make the exaust louder. For the MOT you don't need the second CAT but the main CAT does have to be well up to operating temperature for the car to pass.

I've replaced the second cat today with a magnex resonated section to match the magnex rear box that i had already fitted.I can throughly recommend this mod,it has changed the overall noise for the better,it actually sounds quieter! and is certainly more refined as well as smoother and a little faster.Turbo 98MY.For any more info get in touch.

Had straight-through, changed to mid-section cat again (to see if it made it any quieter) - didn't make a lot of a difference, just made the car less responsive. Swapped it back to straight through & I'm not going back again
