How hard/costly is it to get a UK MY98 impreza up to the power of a Jap import as i am looking to buy one but am in two minds whether to buy a UK car and up the power or go for a Jap import and have it as standard. Also, would doing this to a UK car cause it any reliability problems??

Not all the so-called 280bhp cars seem to have 280bhp. They are also setup to run 99/100 octane fuel, which we dont have the luxury of over here. Sometimes a good UK car is a good place to start, although not always.
