Went up to PE yesterday to sort out the car running like poo with the Blitz induction kit which I had fitted at the weekend. To start with managed to pick up a standard filter at Halfords and put that in Tuesday night so I could actually drive up there with the car running properly! Turns out that there's someone seriously wrong with the new style induction kits. Firstly they don't come with a bell housing like the older ones do and secondly the hole in the mounting plate is smaller than the rest of the standard pipe work. The air flow was getting completley messed up, the fueling was through the roof, if I had left it on it would have recked the engine! How have they got it so wrong?

Good news is had a BHP run done and the results were exactly what I had predicted:

254 LBS/FT Torqe
1.1 Bar Max Boost
261 BHP at 6346 RPM

The sound of my car hitting 130 mph on the rolling road was mad!!

So to the last point, thinking about putting the equal lengh manafold on. Has anyone else done this? What was your BHP increase and what does it do to the sound of the exaust?

Cheers

Chris

Equal length manifold will make it lose the "scooby" sound, sound more like an evo.............
