Default Gearbox removal

How much of a pain is it really ?
Looks like the hardest part is lifting it back up when it comes back to refitting it ?
So what do you all think possible to do at home or pay to have it done ?
Thanks for your comments jon

it wil take 2 people if you have no ramps etc, there are plenty of guides on the net showing which procedure to remove bits, we done one yesterday in 4 hours start to finish but we've got some experience on them now, for a first time i'd say a good day
