Question weird possible clutch fault?

Hey guys

basically on my way to work today i noticed the wierdest thing

when im in 5th and i boot it the revs climb as normal from about 60mph

then the revs shoot straight from about 2900 to about 3700rpm then drop down again and the car carrys on as normal

i thought it was doing it in all gears but it seems most prominent in 5th

ive lauching and seems fine i boot it in 1st no problems 2nd does a similar thing to as being in 5th 3rd and 4th seem normal

is my clutch slipping or is summit else playing havoc under my baby?

Almost certainly your clutch, it will start to do it in the other gears soon.

Not really, its just that in higher gears you can hit and hold peak torque for longer, in lower gears you accelerate away from peak torque.

You wont go wrong with people like API or Harvey for this type of thing, they have a lot of experience and carry stock to back it up.
