Hi people does anyone know how much it would be for a 5th gear synchromesh for a impreza turbo 2000 classic shape thanks

 

Is it just popping out of gear?
It was a common issue on MY99/00 cars (mainly MY00 cars) where the main nut comes loose as they were not torqued up correctly at the factory (supposedly), otherwise you will have to speak with a gearbox speciallist for prices as it can vary depending on whats wrong with the box.

The "5th gear synchromesh" covers eight or nine different parts, so it'd help to know exactly what bits you need, and what MY (or transmission code) you need it for.

If in doubt give API Engines a ring as they should have bits in at a fair bit less than main dealer prices.

 

That year model box is probably a TY754 VN1AA . Good news is that a proper repair to 5th can be done without taking the box right out of the car.
